We have been learning about Diamante poem's this term. We can:

• use interesting (adjectives) words
• compare two topics
• use verbs (doing) words

I Am Learning To create a wearable piece of art

Wearable Art Showcase 

For the past 2 terms, Room 10 and 11 have been learning about Space. We have been exploring the different planets and the galaxy. We decided for our wearable art piece that we would make galaxy skirts and capes with the planets on it. 

We learnt many different art techniques such as water colouring, flicking of paint, dabbing of paint and blending colours together. It was a long process but are all very proud of the final product!

We Are Learning To skip count in 2's with support from the 100's board.

We Are Learning About 2D and 3D shapes

Room 10 and 11 have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes.

We made our shape with toothpicks and bluetack. After we made our shape we got to play with it.

"I am learning about shapes. It was easy to make the shape. It was tricky to use the bluetack."

"We are learning to retell the story. It is easy to say the beginning. It is hard to say everything that happened in the story."

100 Day Party!

We celebrated being at school for 100 Days!! My favourite part of our 100 day party was icing the cupcakes and eating them.

We Are Learning To write a cinquain poem

We have been learning how to write cinquain poems. A cinquain poem consists of five lines.

Each line has a set number of words

Line 1: one topic word
Line 2: two adjectives (describing words)
Line 3: three verbs (doing words)
Line 4: A short sentence
Line 5: one topic word

We Are Learning To write numbers to 20

"We are learning to write numbers to 20. I find it easy to write the numbers to 10. I find it tricky to write the numbers after 10. I can keep practising on the whiteboards. "

We Are Learning The alphabet letter names and sounds.

I can get my lips ready for the first sound. I can say the first sound in the word.

"We are learning our letters sounds. We find it easy to say the 's' sound. We find it tricky to use our letter sounds when sounding out words. We can keep practising this at home and at school."

For Mother’s Day we did some special Mother’s Day writing using Word Art.

On Friday, we were lucky enough to go on the field and learn some football skills. We had so much fun playing football and learning new games.
